We are preparing to celebrate with our Administrative Professionals on, Friday, April 26 at Tapestry, A Day for You. Our offices will have a minimum number of staff to provide you with phone access to us for 24 hours/7 days per week. The Finance Department has worked diligently to move up our payday. As you read Rick and I really appreciate our Administrative Professional Staff.
We dedicate the song “Holiday” by Madonna to them.
If we took a holiday yeah
Took some time to celebrate
Just one day out of life
It would be
It would be so nice
Everybody spread the word
We’re gonna have a celebration
All across the world
In every nation
Thank you to the Administrative Professionals in our lives!
“This Girl is on Fire” since learning from Tapestry we will have 150 guests in our Breakout Session, “The Importance of Putting Play into Your Life”. Michele Gladieux is coaching us to pour our nervous energy into our presentation. Margeaux and I chose the Alicia Keys’ song to use while pouring ourselves into our presentation. “Hotter than a fantasy”… Our eyes are a bright flame as we are not backing down. We are looking forward to meeting you, the “hottest of the hottest girls” at Tapestry, A Day for You.
Today Margeaux and I are compiling the responses from our “Play” questionnaire sent to our office staff in the LaGrange, Auburn, Fort Wayne, and Bluffton offices. We will present the tally in our Breakout Session, “The Importance of Putting “Play” into Your Life”, at Tapestry, April 26.
This presentation has not yet been rated!
Celebrate with a day of inspiration, renewal, and education for women in all stages of life on April 26, 2013. We will! http://www.ipfw.edu/tapestry/
Happy Poetry Month!
Here is a portion of one of my favorite poems titled “To be of Use” by Marge Piercy.
The people I love the best
jump into work head first
without dallying in the shallows
and swim off with sure strokes almost out of sight.
They seem to become natives of that element,
the black sleek heads of seals
bouncing like half submerged balls.
I love people who harness themselves, an ox to a heavy cart,
who pull like water buffalo, with massive patience,
who strain in the mud and the muck to move things forward,
who do what has to be done, again and again…
Cleaning pots and pans from our Easter celebration weekend. Our guests have returned safely to their homes. The windows with screens are open as I enjoy the Indiana spring while cleaning. I’m preparing my mind for work tomorrow. Our clients want spring cleaning too. My co-workers have identified a need for cleaning essentials to assist our clients with cleaning for spring. So throw caution to the spring wind and donate environmentally friendly cleaning essentials to the closest Angel Corps office. Dorian
